Gemma Glasser, owner & designer at Primavera, grew up on Orcas before earning a degree in Integrated Design at Parsons School of Design in 2011. She became a graduate gemologist in 2018, and spent years working professionally in the fine jewelry and design world.
She is delighted to be based back home, designing bespoke fine jewelry, and creating art in multiple mediums. Her work has always been deeply informed but the beauty and light of our island’s natural environment, and by working with phenomenal, soulful antique or ethically sourced gemstones. Helping to celebrate and witness her clients life stories commemorated though jewels is her passion.
Gemma is also a third generation artist, following in the matrilineal footsteps of her grandmother and mother, clay sculptor Hannah Alex-Glasser.
She opened Primavera, a design atelier and lifestyle store in Eastsound alongside her fiancée Cole in 2024.
