My artistic journey is deeply rooted in the symbiotic relationship between nature and craft, embodied through my practice of willow basketry and sculpture. Residing on Orcas Island, I draw profound inspiration from my life immersed in sustainable, off-grid living and the nurturing embrace of the natural world. My creations are not merely objects; they are vessels of history, culture, and personal exploration. Originating from Poland, I have been intrinsically connected to the age-old tradition of willow weaving. This craft is more than a technique; it is a conduit through which I engage with my ancestral lineage, honoring the heritage and practices of my forebears.
