Lynda Ransley
438 Diamond Hill Rd
Lynda works in a range of media that includes resin, ink, wood and metal. Her paintings reflect abstract forms in bold color combinations, and are the result of years of happy experimentation. A self-described “wood junkie”, Lynda's creates live-edge furniture from native and/or salvaged wood. Finished pieces feature dramatic grain and form, and are often mounted on custom steel bases, created to compliment the wood. Lynda's steel sculptures reflect abstract and/or organic forms, and often incorporating glass elements for contrast. Inspired by nature, Lynda is primarily self-taught, and enjoys experimenting as she creates her pieces. She is happy to discuss her art and techniques, and appreciates learning from others.
